The Eliant 820 is designed to give IT professionals the

capability of meeting a shrinking backup window while helping to hold the line

on system costs.  The Eliant 820 is available as both a stand alone drive and

as part of Exabyte's automated tape libraries.

 

 

The Eliant 820 joins Exabyte's existing value line family of low-cost 8mm

tape drives, which includes the Exabyte 8700LT and the Exabyte 8700, to

address the tape-storage needs of PC server system environments. 

FEATURES:

The Eliant 820 is a consistently reliable backup system that keeps pace with today's shrinking backup windows. With its remarkably fast data transfer rate, the Eliant 820 can back up 14 gigabytes of data in less than two hours. Certified by Microsoft to be Windows NT compatible, the Eliant 820 is also certified in Exabyte's laboratories for optimum performance in NetWare and UNIX environments. In addition, abundantly available, low-cost media enables the Eliant 820 to offer the lowest cost of ownership in its class. Exabyte tape drives and tape libraries are available as consumer-ready kitted products or as integration components. This tape drive comes with a Premium cleaning cartridge.
